Goodbye Firenze and cousins , hello Tuscany

We rise early in order to buy supplies at the market to keep us going for the next few days. We find a tripe outlet and breakfast first

Beef cheek sandwich
and then stock up on veal sweetbreads for the harsh times ahead.
We take a last look at the Baptistry

and the Duomo
Back at the digs we try to get a taxi but all to no avail so we have to schlepp our suitcases down to the station 2 km away; thank God it is not too hot(36C) and the wheels of the suitcases run smoothly over the rough cobblestone streets. WE arrive drenched in sweat at the station and meet up with our group for the next phase of our holiday.
We are driven by bus into the Tuscan hills, the former hangout of a charming serial killer called the monster of Florence.
We meet up with Stefano who is preparing our first of many feasts.
The accommodation is adequate and the surrounds are pretty enough.
